In a recent inspection by the CQC, it was noted just how far the staff go to make each resident feel valued and happy while residing at Regency Manor.

We’re always ready to sit down and have a chat with anyone who wants or needs to talk to us. Care staff listen to the residents; they take note of their mood and use everything that they know about them to bring their mood back up if they’re feeling low.

What do we get up to?

We have an amazing activity line-up, which helps to boost morale and a general sense of wellbeing. Because we’re a care home in Poole for both dementia and non-dementia residents, we provide two different activity sessions. A lot of the activity sessions for our dementia residents focus on stimulating mind and memory.

Our activities are a fantastic way for residents to get involved and feel part of the tight-knit community we have here at our care home in Poole. Such activities include:

  • Days out
  • Arts and crafts
  • Flower arranging and Gardening
  • Woodwork
  • Games including Bingo
  • Sing-a-longs and much more
  • Fetes and Fayres
  • Nativities and Musicals
  • Baking and Pizza Making
  • Sensory sessions
  • Basketball and Balloon Tennis

If a resident expresses an interest in something that they would like try, we go to every length to make it happen. Often, other residents will want to get involved, and a whole group activity is arranged.

On top of our in-house activity program, every two days, residents get to go out on a trip. Trips are organised in groups on a rotational basis, so everyone has the chance to get out and about.
