At Regency Manor, we go to every length to create a close-knit community feel that will provide residents with a sense of belonging and familiarity.

Delivering the right level of care is also a huge factor in making sure that each resident feels at home. This is why we go to every length to get to know residents on both a medical and personal basis before they come and live with us.
Through pre-admission assessments and regular care reviews, for each resident at Regency Manor, we develop a care plan which is tailored exactly to their needs.

The care plans for dementia residents are designed to deliver the level of attention and direction necessary for them to fulfil their daily lives with both independence and dignity.

We also apply the same degree of detail to the care plans for our non-dementia residents. These residents may be with us because they require specialist attention or care that cannot be provided by loved ones.

To execute our care plans to the highest standard, we have developed an intensive in-house training program. Through our training program,

we provide our care team with the practical skills and knowledge required to deliver the highest levels of care in Bournemouth.

Alzheimer’s or a reduction in oxygen flow to the brain, are the leading causes of dementia. They cause brain cells to die, which in turn disrupts the complex network of electrical connections we rely on for maximum mind function.
As a result, someone with dementia will often experience difficulties in thinking, problem-solving and language – though these symptoms will often manifest themselves differently in each person. The personal, and often lonely, journey that people take as their dementia progresses highlights the importance of being able to provide a specialised care plan.
At our luxury care home in Poole, we partly base our dementia care plans on the findings and research conducted by Dr Gemma Jones. Her approach uses validation over medication, which means the care that our residents receive is designed to facilitate residents by helping them to adapt to their own changing circumstances.
We work closely with GPs, nurses and mental health organisations to regularly assess the changes in behaviours, moods and habits that our residents experience as a result of their dementia. This means we can adapt each resident’s care plan in accordance with their current needs.

Palliative Care

When the end comes, we don’t believe any resident should be asked to leave their home. We’ll speak with the resident, their loved ones and healthcare professionals to create an end of life plan that is tailored exactly to the resident’s wishes.

We’ll go above and beyond to provide the resident with the care they need to live out the rest of their days as comfortably as possible. We’ll also provide family and friends with on-going support after their loved one has passed to help ease the grieving process.

Residential Care

Sometimes elderly relatives require specialist care to manage the myriad of health problems or mobility difficulties that they may be facing. At our Poole luxury care home, we provide our residents with personalised care plans that focus on providing dignified care and maximising sense of wellbeing.

With regular visits from district nurses, doctors and other health care professionals, we make sure that every need is met. We regularly assess the medical, psychological and spiritual wellbeing of our residents, and adapt the care plans of our residents accordingly.
