We believe that every resident should receive first-class care that’s respectful of their independence and dignity. We work closely with the family and resident to provide a bespoke care plan that achieves precisely this. And we do everything possible to make each resident feel right at home at our Parkstone care home.
Regency Manor has gained a respectable reputation in its years of operation. This is not just for the first-class care we provide, but also for the way we make each resident feel at home. This is important as it can be unsettling, even upsetting, especially for those who might have lived for many, many years in their previous home. We go the extra mile to help with the transition, easing new residents into life at our care home in Parkstone.
It goes without saying that each resident will receive a private room and they are free to bring any possessions with them to personalise the space. We can even appoint our decorator/ painter to paint the walls a different colour, and we’ll remove any unwanted pieces of furniture if requested. For residents with dementia, we have specially designed dementia floors where all bedrooms feature brightly coloured doors that display the occupant’s name.
The corridors also feature brightly coloured walls with various visual cues that aid with recognition and memory. The idea is to minimise confusion and anxiety while promoting independence and overall well-being. Our Parkstone care home also has several communal areas, furnished to a high standard. These include a lounge and dining area as well as a drinks and snacks station.
Residents can enjoy a varied schedule of activities while living at Regency Manor. These activities range from arts and crafts and woodwork to games, fetes and fayres, sensory sessions, and even basketball and balloon tennis. Day trips are also arranged every couple of days on a rotating schedule, so every resident gets to look forward to doing something exciting every day.
It’s important to us that our residents want for nothing, and this means ensuring we have all the facilities available to cater to their needs. Some of our facilities are available to the residents directly, while others are provided by our staff (laundry, catering, etc.) here at our care home. Parkstone residents have access to various other facilities too, including:
Plus, there are also gardens to explore, boasting decked areas, outside seating, well-kept lawns, patio areas, and even a secure roof terrace area.
At Regency Manor, we’re committed to the success of our care home. Parkstone families should be aware of our ‘Outstanding’ rating, courtesy of the CQC. This is a rating we’re proud of and one we strive to maintain by consistently providing the most exceptional care in a safe and secure environment. Situated in a leafy residential neighbourhood, Regency Manor provides a wonderful backdrop to call home.
The care we provide at our care home in Parkstone is tailored to our residents’ needs – each new team member undergoes extensive training, regardless of skill level. This includes shadowing a member of our senior staff to ensure they become familiar with our processes and each of our residents and their respective needs. With 69 rooms, we have space and the means to care for a large number of dementia and non-dementia residents.
All of our suites have been designed in a way that assists and prolongs the independence of our residents, and one suite is intended for female residents only. Also, we have no visiting times, so family members are welcome to visit their loved ones at any time.
